A Send Off in True FED Fashion

How does three months fly by so quickly? We had our last day of volunteer work today with FED and last night was our send off. As is the fashion, the women cooked an amazing dinner, with chocolate cake for dessert (via rice cooker.)In attendance were not only FED staff, but members of the community, the volunteers who we have grown so fond of (open invite to visit!)children and students, mothers and grandmothers... Several folks are departing in the next few days, so there were toasts made and speeches and I presented a slide show entitled "FED family".

We will never forget or match this experience in our lifetime. We hope through emails and skype and photos we will be able to see this community and the organization grow and mature over the years, and to witness, even from afar, all the wonderful and loving children grow to become incredible adults. They certainly have some amazing role models as their mentors.
Thanks FED. I love my happy baby....it will be well taken care of, and Mickey looks so cool in his new choker, both made by WEDA, FED's women's organization.
