Happy Mother's Day!

It is already Mother's Day here in Thailand (despite the fact it is not a recognized holiday)
I thought I would share some of my favorite quotes for "all y'all" who are celebrating today.
(Thanks Mar):

"Sing out loud in the car even, and especially, if it embarrasses your children"

"You dont really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry go round will wave at his parents every time round-and why his parents will always wave back". William Tammeus

"The strangth of motherhood is greater than natural laws". Barbara Kingsolver

"Sometimes the lauhgter in mothering is the recognition of the ironies and absurdities. Sometimes, though, it's just pure, unthinking delight"

"The patience of a mother might be likened to a tube of toothpaste-it's never quite all gone."

The best medicine in the world is a mother's kiss."

"I asked my mom if I was a gifted child...she said they certainly wouldn't have paid for me."

"There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one."

"Insanity is hereditary; you get it from your children"

"The story of a mother's life: Trapped between a scream and a hug."

"No one in the world can take the place of your mother. Right or wrong, from her viewpoint you are always right. She may scold you for the little things, but never for the big ones." Harry Truman

"A mother understands what a child does not say"

"Mothers are all slightly insane" J.D. Salinger

and finally...
"Everyone wants to save the earth; nobody wants to help mom with the dishes."

Happy Mama's Day
